Gifford Street Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is one of the area’s leading providers of outpatient medication-assisted treatment. Located in New Bedford, MA, we serve individuals aged 18 and older who are battling addictions to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a type of opioid addiction treatment that combines the use of prescription medication with counseling services. The medications used in MAT can help alleviate symptoms of withdrawal while also preventing the ongoing cravings for opioids that often lead to relapse. At Gifford Street CTC, we can provide prescriptions for methadone, Suboxone, and buprenorphine, which are approved by the FDA for use in opioid addiction treatment programs when administered and monitored by trained professionals.

Recognizing that getting treatment for an opioid addiction is a highly personal experience, we strive to provide care in a confidential manner that helps patients feel comfortable during the treatment process.
