About Recovery Centers of America at Danvers

Just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Recovery Centers of America (RCA) Danvers is a prominent addiction recovery center that provides acute treatment services (ATS), clinical stabilization services (CSS), and outpatient rehab. RCA Danvers’ programs approach each recovery with a comprehensive care plan. To provide the best care those struggling with a substance abuse (including alcohol, heroin, prescription drugs, cocaine, and opioids), our center is staffed by a team of doctors and nurses that include primary therapists, psychiatrists, and master-level clinicians.

Clinical Detox and 24/7 Care

Withdrawal doesn’t need to be a painful process. The goal of detox is to free patients’ bodies of addictive substances. RCA assesses each patient and employs a medically-managed detox program to ensure comfort and safety. A team of licensed physicians and nurses administer individualized care that address physical and mental symptoms.

Addiction Treatment for the Whole Person

RCA’s comprehensive addiction treatment program begins with medically-supervised detox and then transitions to our inpatient program. Inpatient rehab is designed to eliminate external triggers and allow the patient to completely focus on their health. Our full continuum of care gives every patient:

  • An environment that encourages rehabilitation and provides a beneficial routine
  • Therapies supported by research (such as cognitive behavioral therapy)
  • 24/7 medical support and nursing care
  • 12 Steps and 12 Traditions program
  • Services for spirituality to rebuild one’s sense of purpose
  • Skills in coping and for preventing relapse
  • A community focused on recovery

Patients transitioning from detox may choose to attend an outpatient program to further their rehabilitation. RCA Danvers provides multiple options that allow patients to select the program that fits their goals: general outpatient (GOP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization programs (PHP).

GOP patients attend group therapy or individual counseling once per week. IOP typically involves sessions of 3 hours, 3 times each week, and includes individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducation. PHP is somewhat longer–5 hours a day, 5 days per weeks, and includes counseling services, therapy, and psychoeducation.

Using Interventions to Guide Loves Ones into Recovery

An intervention is unlikely to be successful if a loved one feels trapped and betrayed. At RCA, we treat interventions as an opportunity to show how much friends and family care and support someone in need of help. Trained recovery professionals will lead interventions by:

  • Organizing the intervention and prepping loved ones
  • Direct the intervention and maintain a constructive conversation
  • Assess potential patients’ clinical needs
  • Go over available addiction treatment programs and finances
  • Help patient transition to residential rehab program

Stay Connected to a Recovery Network

Staying involved in a community focused on support is recommended for anyone going through recovery. RCA’s Alumni Association manages a wide network of individuals dedicated to their recovery. The group also offers members various opportunities for mentorship and engagement, including:

  • Alumni group meetings
  • Events and activities
  • Mentoring peers who want to sustain long-term recovery
  • Ongoing support
  • Continuing addiction education
  • Aid in resolving legal, family, and/or employment issues
