About Tower Behavioral Health & Addiction Treatment
Tower Behavioral Health is Reading, Pennsylvania’s premier psychiatric treatment center for both adults and adolescents struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our state-of-the-art, innovative facility, located just 50 miles outside of Philadelphia, offers comprehensive treatment options for all those in the Greater Reading and Southeast Pennsylvania community.
What sets Tower Behavioral Health apart from other treatment centers is our evidence-based, personalized approach to mental health care. Every person has their own unique story and factors in their life that influence their mental health in different ways. That’s why at Tower Behavioral Health we offer differing levels of care to address the diverse needs of every patient that comes through our doors.
Levels Of Care At Tower Behavioral Health
Depending on your current circumstances, you may take part in a variety of programs available at Tower Behavioral Health. These include:
Inpatient Program
Our inpatient program provides the perfect level of care for adults aged 18 and older who require crisis-level stabilization and around-the-clock care. For patients in this level of care, our team of expert multidisciplinary professionals help you regain control of the symptoms that have been keeping you from living a healthy day-to-day lifestyle.
The goal for our patients in these programs is to help each patient transition to a lower level of care, such as our partial hospitalization programs.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
For adults 18 and older who may have transitioned from an inpatient program, or who may require less intensive care, our PHP programs offer therapeutic programming several hours a day, multiple days a week that allow you to continue you at-home life while still receiving treatment.
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
This level of care is suited for adults aged 25 and older who are currently in the management of chronic mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other behavioral health disorders. We have designed our ACT programs to ensure that you get the help and services you need in the environment that is most comfortable for you.
Adolescent Inpatient Program
Like our inpatient programs for adults, Tower Behavioral Health also offers patients between the ages of 14 and 17 treatment for mental and behavioral health concerns. We ensure that every adolescent who receives this level of treatment benefits from a personalized approach, where they have access to trauma-informed care, a safe and supportive environment, family support, and educational services.
No matter what level of care you need, our expert team at Tower Behavioral Health can help you start your path toward recovery.

Testimonials
""The place is very nice. The staff is very caring and helpful and helps you with whatever you need. Very down to earth and genuine staff who definitely care and want to help you get better and prosper in life.""

""As a former patient in the adolescent's treatment program my experience at Tower helped me get back on my feet with my mental health as well as helped me find support when I needed it the most. The thing that made the most impact to me in the 2 weeks I was there would be the connections you make with the other kids. It's not the faculty or the group sessions that make Tower what it is, (Although most of the staff and therapists there were amazing!!!) but the other patients. With people struggling with their mental health, especially teenagers, it can feel like you're the only one with these struggles or thoughts. After my 2 weeks I realized that, as cliché as it sounds, You're not alone. My family and I are extremely grateful for the way Tower helped me and I hope this helps any parents or family member who are in the process of admitting their kid to Tower.""
