About Wellbridge

Wellbridge, located in Calverton, NY takes a science and people-driven approach to treatment by going beyond existing addiction resources. At the 96-acre campus on-site addiction researchers and clinicians work together to bridge the gap between science and implemented treatment. In doing so, Wellbridge accelerates the integration of discovery into addiction treatment solutions to break the cycle of addiction. Compassionate, comprehensive, and collaborative approaches to treatment are tailored to the individual and evolving needs of patients. Customized treatment plans are focused on treating the whole person. This holistic approach heals the mind, body, and underlying psychiatric issues linked to addiction. Programs offered at Wellbridge include medical stabilization/detox, rehabilitation, and extended stay.

Treatment at Wellbridge recognizes that the patient is not the only one affected by a substance use disorder (SUD). For this reason, family members are important to helping patients reach and maintain their recovery. Family members involved in recovery also need support which they can receive through Wellbridge’s dynamic family therapy program. Therapy and approaches to family members are also being researched and continually developed by Wellbridge’s scientists and researchers.

The environment of Wellbridge is designed to foster well-being and compassionate care. The facility’s campus, which is 70 miles outside of New York City, is surrounded by pine forests which creates a private, calming backdrop for recovery. The 6 buildings on the campus have many light-filled living spaces that are intended to be relaxing and functional. Patients have access to The Wellness Center and the Center For Creative Expression. These centers offer activities that treat the body and mind which are both aspects of a holistic recovery. The campus has the capacity to house 80 patients and the current staff to patient ratio is 3:1. The efforts of the scientists, clinicians, and patients make Wellbridge more than a treatment center but also the center for treatment.

"Thank you for the warm, welcoming visit to your new campus. You made a patient-centric vision of addiction treatment a true reality – from the clinical facilities and learning laboratory to the Four Seasons-like rooms, healthy meals and spa-like fitness center. I would be happy to refer any of my clients to Wellbridge."

"Amazing rehab facility! This is so needed on Long Island. Thank you for all your care during a very difficult personal time."

"While I was on only site at Wellbridge as a vendor, I did explore almost all it had to offer. The facility is newly built, very luxurious, and large. It's what you'd expect from a resort with swimming pools, plenty of greenery, activities like Yoga, full gym, and spaces and areas to relax in, plenty of delicious food to try and polite staff."
